Add an AI label to your product image

Stamp the official Home24 "AI generated" label onto your image in seconds: bottom right, at the prescribed size, plus the matching meta tag inside the file. No signup and no upload, because your image stays in the browser.

Why the label belongs in the image

Marketplaces ask two things of AI images: what people see and what machines read. Text placed on the image is not enough - Home24 asks for the official label in a fixed position plus a meta tag inside the file that identifies it as an AI image. This tool does both in one pass. For the wider picture, see our AI image labeling page.

Always add the label as the last step: scaling an already-labelled image to a different format can crop it. Bring your image to its target size with the marketplace resizer first, then stamp the label here.

Adding the AI label - step by step

  1. 1

    Upload your product image

Drag your image into the tool or click to select it. It stays in your browser and is never uploaded anywhere.

  2. 2

Pick how the image was made

Fully AI generated, or a photo edited with AI? That choice decides which IPTC value the file carries. The visible label is the same either way.

  3. 3

    Download

The label sits bottom right at 15% width with a 2% margin, and the meta tag is written into the file. Ready to upload to Home24.

The Home24 requirements in detail

Home24 defines the label size as a percentage of the square image format, so the same rule holds at any resolution. This tool works with exactly these values - the pixel figures refer to a 2400 × 2400 px image:

Rule % of side length At 2400 × 2400 px
Label width 15.00% 360 px
Label height 3.75% 90 px
Right margin 2.00% 48 px
Bottom margin 2.00% 48 px
  • Position: bottom right in the square product image - one label design for product pictures as well as content and marketing assets.
  • Visibility: the label must never be cropped in any format. The tool therefore constrains placement so that label and margins always fit inside the frame.
  • Design: the official overlay at 50% black. Home24 provides the label files in its mediapool. The figures here reflect the guideline as of August 2026 - the version Home24 provides to you is always the binding one.
  • Meta tag: because the label is baked into the image, the file must additionally identify itself as AI-generated. The tool uses the IPTC Digital Source Type field for that.

Need more? Labelling on every export

For one-off images this tool is exactly right. If you produce product images for a shop and marketplaces continuously, labelling stops being a separate step in showcase: it lands on every download and every export automatically.

Frequently asked questions about the AI label tool

How do I label AI images for Home24?
Home24 requires a label embedded directly into the image: the official "AI generated" overlay, bottom right in the square product image, 15% of the side length wide and with a 2% margin to the edges. On top of that, the image file itself has to carry a meta tag identifying it as AI-generated. This tool does both in one pass.
What metadata does the tool write into the file?
An XMP block containing the IPTC "Digital Source Type" field: "Created using Generative AI" for fully AI-generated images, "Edited using Generative AI" for photos edited with AI. That is the standard Google, Meta, LinkedIn and Adobe read.
Can the tool add SynthID or C2PA?
No - and no tool that takes a finished file can. SynthID is written into the pixels by Google's image models as they generate, and signed C2PA Content Credentials need a certificate that must not sit in a browser. Both happen where the image is created.
When should I apply the label?
Always as the last step, after cropping and resizing. If you scale an already-labelled image to a different format, the proportions shift and the label can end up cropped. Bring the image to its target size first, then add the label here.
Does my image have to be square?
Home24 defines its rules for the square product image format. The tool stamps non-square images correctly too: size and margin are always measured against the shorter edge, so the proportions hold and the label is never cropped. For uploads to Home24 you should still use the square format.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser: the label is composited via Canvas and the metadata is written into the file locally. Your product images never leave your machine.
What format do I get back?
JPG stays JPG, so you keep the format marketplaces expect for product shots. PNG stays PNG, so transparency is preserved for cut-outs. WebP is returned as PNG. Saving re-encodes the image, so EXIF and ICC data from the original file is lost.
Is it free?
Yes, the tool is free and works without signing up.
What if I need to label hundreds of images?
Then the single-image tool on this page is the wrong route. In showcase the AI badge is a download option on every image: you switch it on once, and every single download, bulk download and marketplace export carries it automatically - on marketplace exports it is applied after the resize, so it sits correctly in the target format and is never cropped. Custom label files like Home24's can be stored in a badge library.
