Frequently asked questions
- What are Amazon's product image size requirements?
- Amazon requires at least 1000 px on the longest side for the main image (so the zoom function works); 2000 x 2000 px on a pure white background is ideal, with a 10 MB file-size limit. This tool exports your image directly at 2000 x 2000 px under that limit.
- What image size do eBay and Etsy listings need?
- eBay requires at least 500 px on the longest side and recommends 1600 x 1600 px for zoom (7 MB limit). Etsy recommends 2000 px on the shortest side with a 1 MB file-size limit. The tool exports to both specs automatically - including the file-size cap.
- Are my images uploaded anywhere?
- No. The tool runs entirely in your browser. Your product image is never sent to or stored on a server - resizing happens locally via the Canvas API.
- What do Fit and Fill mean?
- Fit (with padding) places the whole image inside the frame and fills the rest with the background colour - nothing is cropped. Fill scales the image to cover the frame and crops the overhanging edges; you can reposition the crop by dragging.
- Why am I warned that the resolution is too low?
- If your source image is smaller than the marketplace's recommended minimum resolution, it is still exported at the correct target size, but upscaled - which does not improve quality. Use a higher-resolution original where possible.
- Which marketplaces are supported?
- Amazon, Otto Market, Kaufland, eBay, Shopify, Etsy, Home24 and Wayfair - each with target size, format and file-size limit according to the official guidelines.
- Is it free to use?
- Yes, the tool is free and requires no sign-up.
